Raising Poetry 2010

Poets and Spoken Word artist who would like to participate in Raising Poetry 2010 in Atlanta, GA are encouraged to submit their request early.

Please note that The Raising Poetry Collective is a Christian organization. Our collective members are followers of Jesus Christ. We do not require that your poetry be “Christian” just that your life and your work reflect your beliefs and that it does not glorify the enemy. Raising Poetry 2010 will be a free event to the public. There is no fee to perform. This is also not a paid event. It is however, a great opportunity to shine a light on both the saved and unsaved. Raising Poetry is taking poetry to new levels. We are raising a generation of expressive young men and women. We are honoring The Father with our gifts and positively changing the world.

*Artist are permitted and encouraged to sell their CD’s, books, and other related merchandise at this event.

Submission Requirements:

1. Bio
2. List of previous and future performances
3. Your URL, Myspace, Facebook, or any other links to the artist
4. Three original pieces (no word limit)
5. Link to audio or video samples. Since artist will be performing it is necessary that we hear samples of your presentation.
6. Reference – a personal reference from your pastor or former pastor.
7. Photo – Please provide one high resolution image of the artist. The image will be used in promotions if the artist is selected.
8. Please include artist legal name and stage name
9. Email address, and other available contact information
